The Average Dork Case was designed for the every-dork. It offers almost endless flexibility and options. Read more to better understand what the Average Dork Case can offer you.
The Average Dork Case comes in 4 depths, 5 heights, and widths up to 32”. It has multiple paint and T-molding (trim) color options. It is a custom piece of furniture made just for you based on what you want.
The shop has a drop down menu that will help you through the process, but customization is available as well.
The Average Dork Case is designed to stand off the wall by 3/4” to accommodate and hide cords.
The Average Dork Case is available in four depths:
The Average Dork 7 is 7.5 inches deep. Great for regular-sized books and other forms of media (CDs, DVDs, console games).
The Average Dork 12 is 12 inches deep. Best for larger books and smaller games.
The Average Dork 15 is 15 inches deep. Perfect for board games and record collections.
The Average Dork 20 is 20 inches deep. Ideal for displaying CRT’s and record players.
The Average Dork Case is available in five heights (XS-XL) ranging from 20” to 79.5” tall. Cases come with shelves, and the side panels of the cases contain pre-drilled pin holes so that the shelves can be placed at variable heights. The side panels extend slightly above the top surface so that items can safely be displayed on top. Exact measurements are available on the individual item shop pages.
Case width is fully customizable. Prices are based on a desired width range. Once you add the case to your cart, a pop-up screen will allow you to order the exact shelf width that you want. Please note that the side panels will add an additional 1.5 inches of width to the case.
Once you have chosen the size of your case, pick a paint color. I use Sherwin-Williams Emerald urethane enamel paints with a satin finish.
The final option to choose is the color of your T-molding (trim). You can learn about available T-molding and paint color choices here.
